Often people visit their chiropractor because they are in pain. In this first step, the main goal is to reduce your pain symptoms. This can require frequent visits, typically anywhere from 2-3 times per week to daily visits.
People tend to think they are perfectly healthy if they are not experiencing any pain. In reality, lack of pain is a very poor indicator of health. Most diseases and other conditions don’t show signs of pain until they in their advanced stages. For example, a cavity doesn’t hurt while it is forming. A cavity causes pain only after it has already formed.
Visiting a chiropractor will cause most of the pain you may be experiencing to disappear. Although the pain may be gone, the underlying condition causing the pain is still there.
Achieving Optimal Health Together
Eliminating pain is the first step in chiropractic care, but is certainly does not stop there. Most chiropractors consider eliminating pain the easiest part of chiropractic. If a patient stops receiving care just because their pain has stopped, the likelihood of the pain causing condition to recur becomes greater. To prevent recurring conditions, it is important to make regularly scheduled trips to your chiropractor to ensure that the pain causing condition stays gone.
Visits to your chiropractor become much less frequent during the correction/restorative phase of care than in the initial phase. In most circumstances, stretches and exercises may be performed at the center or at home to help accelerate the healing process.
It is normal to occasionally experience flare ups of your symptoms, do not let this worry you if it happens. These flare ups are bound to occur until the body has been fully healed. This phase can last anywhere from a few months to a few years depending on the severity of your condition and how long you have been suffering from it.
Maintaining Your Health
Even after your condition has been fully healed, routine visits to your chiropractor will help ensure that the condition does not occur again as well as ensure that your body stays in optimal form. Routinely visiting your chiropractor helps ensure that your musculoskeletal system stays in top form just the same way as routine diet and exercise benefits your body.
Routine chiropractic care ensures that your joints last longer and that you don’t have to experience so much of the pain that many people go through. Live life to its fullest and engage in all of the activities that you love when you make routine chiropractic care part of your lifestyle.
Through the use of various stretches and exercises, rehabilitation is used to strengthen the parts of body that influence posture and movement. It is through practicing rehabilitation that we aim to correct poor posture and imbalanced movements in a way the completely resolves the problem as well as minimizing the chance of their reoccurring in the future.
The practice of exercise, both cardiovascular and muscle strengthening, is, coupled with regular chiropractic care, an immensely important aid to managing lower back pain. Exercise promotes maintaining properly toned muscles, better circulation, and healthy digestion. There is strong evidence supporting that exercise is nearly as effective as all other non-surgical treatments in the relief and treatment of lower back pain.

The effort to ensure this to our best ability includes includes providing therapeutic treatment in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors.

I went to Dr Lind with a “frozen” shoulder. Dr Lind gently successfully treated my shoulder and it’s about good as new. I like his holistic approach and amazing techniques. Dr Lind is a true “healer”.
Susan E San Jose CA
I have been seeing Dr. Lind for over 12 years. He is always able to zero in on the particular spot(s) that need his special touch. I really like that he spends time with me and doesn’t rush me through a 15 minute adjustment. He is thorough and explains why things are out of place and makes me feel better immediately. He is more than fair in his pricing and availability as I am one of those patients who can only afford to see him on an as needed basis. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

I started seeing Dr. Lind several years ago when my neck and back pain was so bad that I couldn’t turn my head. He fixed it right away and since then he helped me achieve a status of well being that I never thought I could gain. After suffering a life of continuous back pain, thanks to Dr. Lind on-going help I’m now pain-free and enjoying all the sports and activities that I like. Highly recommended.

I have seen Dr. Lind for several years now for menopausal symptoms. I had a really hard time with hormones and other medications and was getting nowhere until I saw Dr. Lind. He explained to me what my body and mind were doing and what we needed to do to get me back on track. I felt amazing and energized right away after my first time seeing him. I feel really good now. He treats a lot of different illness’s that I could not even imagine! I always say he is an “Angel”. Now my husband is his patient as well. We both thank Dr. Lind for always arranging our appointments on weekends since we drive one and a half hours to his office. It is well worth it and will not go any where else. I had postponed my health too long and now I tell family and friends not to postpone theirs. I definitely and highly recommend Dr. Lind.
