How to Get a Deeper Stretch

If you’re looking to improve your stretch game, there are a few things you can do technique-wise that will make a huge impact on the overall effectiveness of your stretching.

Below, Family Chiropractic and Natural Healing Center goes over a few ways that you can improve your stretching on a daily basis.

First, make sure that you hold each stretch for a half a minute or more. Make sure that you don’t bounce your stretches, either, and try to control your movement and hold your stretch with intent.

Second, breathe deeply and fully, which will help you deepen your stretch, not to mention provide oxygen to areas of the body that might be in need of it.

Being patient with your body is also hugely important. Try not to get frustrated with yourself if you’re not at the skill level that you think you should be. Instead, just try to get 1% better and 1% more flexible each time you stretch.
